Product description

By merging Technics' traditional cutting-edge analog and digital technologies launched in 2016, the Sl-1200G has combined Technics' traditional analog technology and advanced digital technology, while redesigning parts around the world. Its outstanding performance literally shook the Hi-Fi market and redefined the reference for direct broadcast turntables. Parts inherited from the Sl-1200G were recently developed for the Sl-1200Gr, starting with the Coreless direct drive motor and precise motor control technology that eliminated the noise that originated from the rotation irregularity, and which includes a low-vibration, high-rigidity plate and high-sensitivity arm. With these measures, the level of performance clearly exceeds the usual standards of its class. The Sl-1200Gr invites more audio enthusiasts to enjoy music with the rich, robust sound of analog recordings. Coreless direct drive engine achieving stable rotation in 1970, Technics marketed the world's first direct drive turntable, and the system took the world from the storm. Unlike belt and other systems, direct drive systems rotate the motor at low speed and drive the plate directly, thereby providing numerous advantages, such as the almost complete absence of degradation in the S/N ratio due to motor vibration and deceleration mechanisms, as well as high reliability over a long period of time due to not requiring replacement of components. And in 2016, Technics developed the double-rotor direct drive motor, with rotor magnets placed on both sides, thus eliminating the motor rotation irregularity, referred to as "Cogging", which was a unique problem for direct drive systems. This engine was adopted for the Sl-1200G, which once again signed a significant response in the Hi-Fi market. The Sl-1200Gr inherits the same design philosophy with the new development of a single rotor direct drive motor motor, with surface and without coress...
